Ottawa Section
The Ottawa Section covers the Ottawa Valley and Western Quebec areas. We have approximately 100 members, and have been in existence for over 27 years. We are enthusiasts of all things motorcycle-related but we are particularly interested in older motorbikes, although many of us also ride current machinery.
Many of us get together on a weekly basis, weather permitting riding our motorbikes, for breakfast at Local Heroes restaurant in the Bleeker Mall on Clyde Avenue, near Merivale road in Ottawa on Sundays at around 8:30am (we tend to hang about until 10:00 or so). Some folks bring parts to buy and sell, so you may find that hard to locate spare you need.
Like the CVMG, the Ottawa section is a not-for-profit organization; however we do raise funds for Camp Quality, a charity tht provides summer camping for children with cancer..
Members display their motorcycles at a number of events, such as Oxford Mills Show and Shine, Cumberland Heritage Power and Country Fair, our own St. Albert Vintage Motorcycle Rally, and several other CVMG rallies, and other vintage motorcycle club events.
The Ottawa Section holds regular Section meetings on the first Tuesday of the month, starting at 7:00 PM, with the business meeting starting at 7.30 PM sharp (or thereabouts, depending on the interesting motorcycles parked outside). The purpose of these meetings is to socialize and to transact any Section business. These meetings are generally held at a members home or garage. See Events Calendar for more information.
Local Heroes or Don Cutts home is the departure point for most of the Ottawa section rides. Several members ride to various shows and displays, including the CVMG National Rally in Paris Ontario, and the AMCA Rally held in Rhinebeck New York.
